Biotechnology Regulations:-
> Definition (परिभाषा):- The rules, principles and instructions that are followed by manufacturing and using the products of transgenic plants are called Biotechnology Regulations.
(ऐसे नियम, सिद्धान्त व निर्देश जिनकी पालना करते हुए ट्रांसजैनिक पादपों के उत्पादों का निर्माण व उपयोग किया जाता है, Biotechnology Regulations कहलाते हैं।)
> Main Points (मुख्य बिन्दु):-
- Before the product becomes available, a report should be made after carefully testing the product.
(उत्पाद के उपलब्ध होने से पहले उत्पाद का सावधानीपूर्वक परीक्षण करके रिपोर्ट बना लेनी चाहिए।)
- The product must be authenticated and used according to appropriate instructions.
(उपयुक्त निर्देशों के अनुसार ही उत्पाद का प्रमाणीकरण व उपयोग होना चाहिए।)
- The user must have a training and signed contract.
(उपयोगकर्ता के पास ट्रेनिंग व हस्ताक्षर किया हुआ Contract होना चाहिए।)

Regulation Committees (नियमन कमेटियाँ):-
> IBSC (Institutional Biosafety Committee):- It is responsible for the local implementation of the guidelines.
(यह दिशा निर्देशों के स्थानीय क्रियान्वयन के लिए उत्तरदायी होती है।)
