जीन क्लोनिंग (Gene Cloning):- आनुवंशिक अभियांत्रिकी तकनीकों की सहायता से जीन या DNA खण्ड की अनेक प्रतियाँ उत्पन्न करने की प्रक्रिया को जीन क्लोनिंग कहते हैं। यह 2 विधियों द्वारा की जा सकती है –
(Gene cloning is the process of generating multiple copies of a gene or DNA segment with the help of genetic engineering techniques. This can be done by 2 methods -)
i. RDT विधि (Recombinant DNA Technology विधि)

ii. PCR विधि (Polymerase Chain Reaction विधि)
[PCR method (Polymerase Chain Reaction method)]
Polymerase Chain Reactions (PCR):-
• PCR:- DNA पॉलीमरेज व DNA primers के उपयोग से DNA खण्डों के गुणन की प्रक्रिया को PCR कहते हैं।
(The process of multiplication of DNA segments using DNA polymerase and DNA primers is called PCR.)
• खोज (Discovery):- PCR तकनीक की खोज Kary Mullis ने 1985 में की थी।
(The PCR technique was discovered by Kary Mullis in 1985.)
• विभिन्न तापमानों को प्राप्त करने के लिए Thermocyclers का उपयोग किया जाता है।
(Thermocyclers are used to achieve different temperatures.)
