DNA Markers:-
• परिभाषा (Definition):-
DNA का ऐसा क्षार क्रम जिसे विभिन्न आण्विक तकनीकों के उपयोग से पहचाना जा सकता है, DNA Marker कहलाता है।
(A base sequence of DNA that can be identified using various molecular techniques is called DNA Marker.)
• इन्हें Molecular Markers या Genetic Markers भी कहते हैं।
(These are also called Molecular Markers or Genetic Markers.)
• ये कई प्रकार के होते हैं। इनमें से 3 मुख्य हैं -
(They are of several types. 3 main are : -)
1. RFLP
2. RAPD
3. SSR
1. RFLP (Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism):-
• परिभाषा (Definition):-
जब एक जाति के विभिन्न जीवों के DNA को एक ही Restriction Endonuclease एंजाइम से उपचारित किया जाता है तो प्राप्त DNA खण्डों की लंबाई में भिन्नता पाई जाती है।
(When the DNA of different organisms of a species is treated with the same Restriction Endonuclease enzyme, the lengths of the obtained DNA segments are differentiated.)
• RFLP के उपयोग (Applications of RFLP):-
i. जनक का निर्धारण करना
(Determination of parent)
ii. अपराधी का निर्धारण करना
(Determination of criminal)
iii. रोग की स्थिति का निर्धारण करना
(Determination of state of disease)
iv. जीन मापन (Gene mapping)
v. पादप रोगजनक का पता लगाना
(Detection of plant pathogen)
