1. परिचय (Introduction):-
· सामान्य नाम:- गेहूँ
(Common Name:- Wheat)
· वानस्पतिक नाम:- Triticum aestivum
(Botanical Name:- Triticum aestivum)
· कुल:- पोएसी या ग्रेमिनी
(Family:- Poaceae or Gramineae)

5. पुष्पीय बायोलोजी (Floral Biology):-
· गेहूँ के पुष्पक्रम को संयुक्त स्पाइक कहते हैं।
(The inflorescence of wheat is called compound spike.)
· गेहूँ में स्पाइक के ध्वज पर्ण से निकलने के कई दिन पश्चात पुष्पन शुरू होता है।
(In wheat, flowering begins several days after the emergence of spike from the flag leaf.)
· प्रत्येक पुष्प द्विलिंगी व एकव्यास सममित होता है।
