Soil amendments, Fertilizer Storage, Fertilizer Control Order (मृदा सुधार, उर्वरक भंडारण, उर्वरक नियंत्रण आदेश):-
Soil amendment (मृदा संशोधन):- Soil amendment includes all inorganic and organic substances mixed into the soil for achieving a better soil constitution regarding plant productivity. There are different substances for different soils and plants to optimise the soil conditions. A very common amendment is the addition of organic matter like compost, due to its low production costs.
(मृदा संशोधन में पादप उत्पादकता के संबंध में बेहतर मृदा संरचना प्राप्त करने के लिए मृदा में मिश्रित सभी अकार्बनिक और कार्बनिक पदार्थ शामिल हैं। मृदा की स्थिति को अनुकूलित करने के लिए विभिन्न मृदाओं और पौधों के लिए अलग-अलग पदार्थ होते हैं। कम उत्पादन लागत के कारण कम्पोस्ट जैसे कार्बनिक पदार्थों को मृदा में डालना एक बहुत ही सामान्य संशोधन है।)
Factors to Consider When Choosing an Amendment (संशोधन करते समय विचार करने वाले कारक):- There are at least four factors to consider in selecting a soil amendment -

- How long the amendment will last in the soil.
(मिट्टी में संशोधन कब तक चलेगा।)
- Soil texture.
(मृदा संरचना।)
- Soil salinity and plant sensitivities to salts.
(मृदा लवणता और लवण के प्रति पौधों की संवेदनशीलता।)
Fertilizer storage (उर्वरक संग्रहण):- Fertilizer storage areas contain concentrated nutrients that must be stored and managed properly. Risks in storage areas include the release of nutrients due to -
(उर्वरक भंडारण क्षेत्रों में सांद्रित पोषक तत्व होते हैं जिन्हें ठीक से संग्रहित और प्रबंधित किया जाना चाहिए। भंडारण क्षेत्रों में जोखिम में पोषक तत्व उर्वरकों से निम्न कारणों से निकलते हैं -)
- Broken, damaged, or leaking containers.
(टूटे, क्षतिग्रस्त, या लीक कंटेनर।)
- A loss of security leading to irresponsible use.
(सुरक्षा में कमी से गैर-जिम्मेदाराना उपयोग।)
- The accumulation of outdated materials giving rise to the storage of excessive quantities of fertilizer, in turn unnecessarily increasing the risk level.
(पुरानी सामग्री के संचय से उर्वरक की अत्यधिक मात्रा में भंडारण हो रहा है, जो बदले में जोखिम के स्तर को अनावश्यक रूप से बढ़ा रहा है।)
Fertilizer Control Order -1985 (उर्वरक नियंत्रण आदेश -1985):-
- To ensure adequate availability of right quality of fertilizers at right time and at right price to farmers, the Fertilizer was declared as an Essential Commodity and Fertilizer Control Order (FCO) was promulgated under Section 3 of Essential Commodities Act,1955 to regulate, trade, price, quality and distribution of fertilizers in the country.
