Maize (मक्का): Stalk rots, Leaf blights and Downy mildews:-
1. Stalk rot (स्टॉक रोट):- Fusarium moniliforme
Symptoms (लक्षण):-
- Affected plant wilts, leaves change from light to dull green, and the lower stalks become straw coloured.
(प्रभावित पौधा मुरझा जाता है, पत्तियाँ हल्के से मटमैली हरी हो जाती हैं, और निचले तने भूसे के रंग के हो जाते हैं।) - Reddish discoloration occurs inside the infected stalk.
(संक्रमित तने के अंदर लाल रंग का धब्बा दिखाई देता है।) - The internal pith tissue disintegrates, leaving only the vascular bundles.
(आंतरिक पिथ ऊतक विघटित हो जाता है, जिससे केवल संवहन पूल बचे रहते हैं।) - Fungus enters through roots and grow up in to lower stem.
(कवक जड़ों के माध्यम से प्रवेश करता है और निचले तने तक फैल जाता है।) - If infection occurs just after flowering, husks appear bleached and straw coloured.
(अगर संक्रमण पुष्प आने के तुरन्त बाद होता है, तो छिलके सफेद और भूसे के रंग के दिखते हैं।)
