Pomegranate (अनार): Leaf spots and Bacterial blight:-

1. Bacterial leaf spot (बैक्टीरियल लीफ स्पॉट):- Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. punicae 

Symptoms (लक्षण):-

- Small irregular water soaked spots appear initially on leaves and later turn dark brown with yellow halo. 

(शुरुआत में पत्तियों पर छोटे अनियमित पानी से भीगे धब्बे दिखाई देते हैं, जो बाद में गहरे भूरे रंग के हो जाते हैं और उनके चारों ओर पीले रंग का घेरा बन जाता है।)

- Spots coalesce and form large necrotic patches. 

(धब्बे आपस में मिलकर बड़े मृत ऊतक वाले धब्बे बना लेते हैं।)

- Leaves distorted and malformed. 

(पत्तियाँ विकृत और टेढ़ी-मेढ़ी हो जाती हैं।)

- Severely infected young leaves are shed. 

(गंभीर रूप से संक्रमित तरुण पत्तियाँ झड़ जाती हैं।)

- The bacterium attacks stem, branches and fruits also. 

(यह जीवाणु तने, शाखाओं और फलों पर भी हमला करता है।)
