An introduction to higher financing institutions – RBI, NABARD, ADB, IMF, World Bank:-

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) (भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक):- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is India's central banking institution, which controls the issuance and supply of the Indian rupee. Established on April 1, 1935, under the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934, it is the regulatory authority in charge of overseeing the monetary policy of the Indian economy.

Key Functions (प्रमुख कार्य):-

i. Monetary Authority (मौद्रिक प्राधिकरण):- Formulates and implements the monetary policy to maintain price stability while keeping in mind the objective of growth.

(मूल्य स्थिरता बनाए रखते हुए विकास के उद्देश्य को ध्यान में रखते हुए मौद्रिक नीति का निर्माण और क्रियान्वयन करता है।)

ii. Regulator and Supervisor of the Financial System (वित्तीय प्रणाली का नियामक और पर्यवेक्षक):- Ensures the financial stability of banks and non-banking financial institutions through regulatory frameworks.

(बैंकों और गैर-बैंकिंग वित्तीय संस्थानों की वित्तीय स्थिरता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए नियामक ढांचे प्रदान करता है।)

iii. Foreign Exchange Management (विदेशी मुद्रा प्रबंधन):- Manages the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999, to facilitate external trade and payments and to promote the orderly development and maintenance of the foreign exchange market in India.

(विदेशी व्यापार और भुगतान को सुविधाजनक बनाने और भारत में विदेशी मुद्रा बाजार के सुव्यवस्थित विकास और रखरखाव को बढ़ावा देने के लिए विदेशी मुद्रा प्रबंधन अधिनियम, 1999 का प्रबंधन करता है।)
