Environmental Pollution: definition, cause, effects and control measures of Thermal pollution (पर्यावरण प्रदूषण: तापीय प्रदूषण की परिभाषा, कारण, प्रभाव और नियंत्रण उपाय):-

Definition (परिभाषा):- Thermal pollution occurs when an excess of heat is released into the environment, particularly into water bodies, leading to a rise in temperature. This heat is usually a byproduct of industrial processes, power generation, or other human activities. Elevated temperatures can disrupt natural ecosystems and harm aquatic life.

(थतापीय प्रदूषण तब होता है जब पर्यावरण में अत्यधिक गर्मी रिलीज होती है, विशेषकर पानी के शरीर में, जिससे तापमान बढ़ जाता है। यह गर्मी आमतौर पर औद्योगिक प्रक्रियाओं, पावर जनरेशन या अन्य मानव गतिविधियों का उपउत्पाद होती है। उच्च तापमान प्राकृतिक पारिस्थितिक तंत्र को प्रभावित कर सकता है और जलीय जीवन को नुकसान पहुंचा सकता है।)

Causes of Thermal pollution (तापीय प्रदूषण के कारण):-

i. Industrial Discharges (औद्योगिक डिस्चार्ज):- Many industries use water for cooling purposes and discharge the heated water back into rivers, lakes, or seas. This is one of the primary sources of thermal pollution.

(कई उद्योग पानी को कूलिंग के लिए उपयोग करते हैं और गर्म पानी को नदियों, झीलों या समुद्रों में वापस छोड़ देते हैं। यह तापीय प्रदूषण का एक प्रमुख स्रोत है।)

ii. Power Plants (पावर प्लांट):- Thermal power plants, especially coal and nuclear plants, use large quantities of water for cooling. The heated water is then released into nearby water bodies.

(थर्मल पावर प्लांट, विशेषकर कोयला और परमाणु प्लांट, बड़ी मात्रा में पानी का उपयोग करते हैं। गर्म पानी फिर पास के जल निकायों में छोड़ा जाता है।)
