Origin (उत्पत्ति):- Knol-khol, commonly known as kohlrabi, is believed to have originated in Europe. Its name comes from the German words "kohl" (cabbage) and "rabi" (turnip), indicating its hybrid nature between cabbage and turnip. It has been cultivated since antiquity and is now grown in various parts of the world, including India.

Area (क्षेत्र):- In India, knol-khol is grown in various regions, particularly in states with cooler climates such as Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and parts of Punjab. It is also cultivated in the cooler hill regions of southern India.
