Origin (उत्पत्ति):- Pointed gourd is native to India and Southeast Asia. It is commonly grown in tropical and subtropical regions.

Area (क्षेत्र):- In India, pointed gourd is primarily grown in the states of West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh. The crop is cultivated over several thousand hectares, especially in regions with suitable climatic conditions.
