Scientific Name (वैज्ञानिक नाम):- Aulacophora foveicollis
Order (गण):- Coleoptera (कोलीओप्टेरा)
Family:- Chrysomelidae (क्राइसोमेलिडी)

Distribution (वितरण):- The Red Pumpkin Beetle is widely distributed in India and other parts of South Asia. It is a major pest in regions cultivating cucurbitaceous vegetables like cucumbers, melons, pumpkins, gourds, and squashes. Besides India, it is also found in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and extends to Southeast Asia and parts of Africa.
(लाल कद्दू भृंग भारत और दक्षिण एशिया के अन्य हिस्सों में व्यापक रूप से पाया जाता है। यह कुकुर्बिटेसी सब्जियों जैसे खीरा, खरबूजा, कद्दू, लौकी और स्क्वैश की प्रमुख कीट है। भारत के अलावा यह पाकिस्तान, बांग्लादेश, श्रीलंका और दक्षिण पूर्व एशिया तथा अफ्रीका के कुछ हिस्सों में भी पाया जाता है।)

Adult Beetle (वयस्क भृंग):-
Size (आकार):- 6–8 mm in length.
(6-8 मिमी लंबाई में।)
Color (रंग):- Bright reddish-orange or red in color.
(चमकदार लाल-नारंगी या लाल रंग का।)
Shape (आकृति):- Oval-shaped body with distinct, well-developed wings.
(अंडाकार आकार का शरीर और विकसित पंख।)
Larva (लार्वा):- White or creamish in color, slender, and slightly curved, with a brown head.
(सफेद या हल्का पीला, पतला और थोड़ा मुड़ा हुआ, भूरे रंग का सिर।)
Length (लंबाई):- Up to 12–15 mm. (12-15 मिमी तक।)
