ii. Earias insulana (Egyptian bollworm) (मिस्र की सुंडी)
Order (गण):- Lepidoptera (लेपिडोप्टेरा)
Family (कुल):- Nolidae (नोलीडी)

Distribution (वितरण):- Found across India, especially in cotton-growing states like Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Karnataka.
(पूरे भारत में पाया जाता है, विशेषकर कपास उगाने वाले राज्य जैसे पंजाब, हरियाणा, महाराष्ट्र, मध्य प्रदेश, गुजरात और कर्नाटक।)

Identification (पहचान):-
Larvae (लार्वा):- Greenish to brownish with distinctive spines or hairs.
(हरे से भूरे रंग के, जिन पर विशेष कांटे या बाल होते हैं।)
Adult moths (वयस्क पतंगे):- Pale green with white markings or pale brown in color.
(हल्के हरे रंग के, सफेद निशानों या हल्के भूरे रंग के होते हैं।)
