Pest of field crop Oilseed: Painted bug (कृष्य तेल फसल का पीड़क: पेंटेड बग):- The Painted Bug, also known as the Bagrada bug or harlequin bug, is a significant pest of oilseeds and other crops in India. 
(पेंटेड बग, जिसे बगराडा बग या हार्लेक्विन बग के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, भारत में तिलहन और अन्य फसलों का एक महत्वपूर्ण कीट है।)
Introduction (परिचय):-
Scientific Name (वैज्ञानिक नाम):- Bagrada hilaris
Order (गण):- Hemiptera (true bugs) [हेमीप्टेरा (सत्य बग्स)]
Note (नोट):- Hemipterans are characterized by piercing-sucking mouthparts.
(हेमीप्टेरा कीटों की विशेषता छेदने और चूसने वाले मुखांग होते हैं।)
Family (कुल):- Pentatomidae (stink bugs) [पेंटाटोमिडी (दुर्गंध बग्स)]
Note (नोट):- The Pentatomidae family is known for producing a foul smell when disturbed.
(इस कुल के कीटों में एक दुर्गंध फैलाने की क्षमता होती है जब उन्हें परेशान किया जाता है।)

Distribution (वितरण):- This bug is native to Africa but has spread to several parts of the world, including India. In India, it is found in: Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh. It thrives in warmer climates and is often found in regions with oilseed crops like mustard.

Identification (पहचान):-
Adults (वयस्क):- The adult Painted Bug is small (about 5-7 mm), black with orange or red and white markings. Its triangular body shape is distinctive.
[वयस्क बग छोटा होता है (लगभग 5-7 मिमी), काले रंग का और उस पर नारंगी या लाल और सफेद निशान होते हैं। इसका त्रिकोणीय शरीर इसकी मुख्य पहचान है।]
Nymphs (निम्फ):- Nymphs are orange to reddish-brown in color, turning black as they mature. They look similar to adults but lack wings.
(निम्फ नारंगी से लाल-भूरे रंग के होते हैं, और जैसे-जैसे वे बड़े होते हैं, उनका रंग काला हो जाता है। वे वयस्कों जैसे दिखते हैं, लेकिन पंख नहीं होते।)
Eggs (अंडे):- The eggs are oval, white, or pale yellow and are laid on leaves or soil.
