Introduction (परिचय):-
Scientific Name (वैज्ञानिक नाम):- Helicoverpa armigera
Order (गण):- Lepidoptera (the order of moths and butterflies)

Family (कुल):- Noctuidae (नॉक्ट्यूइडी)

Distribution (वितरण):- Tomato Fruit borer has a wide distribution and is found in many parts of the world, including:
(टमाटर फल छेदक का व्यापक वितरण है और यह दुनिया के कई हिस्सों में पाया जाता है:)
India (भारत):- Present in all major tomato-growing regions.
(सभी प्रमुख टमाटर उगाने वाले क्षेत्रों में पाया जाता है।)
Asia (एशिया):- South and Southeast Asia (Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, etc.).

Identification (पहचान):-
Adult Moth (वयस्क पतंगा):-
> Wingspan of 30-40 mm.
(पंखों का विस्तार 30-40 मिमी।)
> Forewings are brownish or pale yellow with dark brown markings.
(आगे के पंख भूरे या पीले रंग के होते हैं जिन पर गहरे भूरे निशान होते हैं।)
> Hindwings are pale with a dark band along the edge.
(पीछे के पंख हल्के रंग के होते हैं जिनके किनारों पर गहरी पट्टी होती है।)
Larva (Caterpillar) [लार्वा (कैटरपिल्लर)]:-
> Fully grown larvae are about 30-40 mm long.
(पूरी तरह विकसित लार्वा लगभग 30-40 मिमी लंबा होता है।)
> Color ranges from green to brown with dark stripes along the body.
(इसका रंग हरे से भूरे तक होता है, और शरीर पर गहरे धारियां होती हैं।)
> Head is brown, and the body has tiny hairs and spines.
(सिर भूरा होता है, और शरीर पर छोटे रोम और कांटे होते हैं।)
Egg (अंडा):- Tiny (about 0.5 mm), spherical, and creamy white, turning brown as they mature.
[बहुत छोटा (लगभग 0.5 मिमी), गोलाकार और क्रीमी सफेद, परिपक्व होने पर भूरा हो जाता है।]
