Concept of herbicide mixture and utility in agriculture (शाकनाशी मिश्रण की अवधारणा एवं कृषि में उपयोगिता):-
Herbicide Mixture (शाकनाशी मिश्रण):- A herbicide mixture involves combining two or more herbicides, or sometimes a herbicide with other substances like surfactants or adjuvants, to create a formulation that is more effective in controlling a broad spectrum of weeds. Herbicides target unwanted plants (weeds) in crops, preventing them from competing with the main crop for nutrients, sunlight, and water.
[शाकनाशी मिश्रण से तात्पर्य दो या अधिक शाकनाशियों को मिलाकर एक ऐसा मिश्रण बनाना है जो खरपतवार के व्यापक स्पेक्ट्रम को नियंत्रित करने में अधिक प्रभावी हो। शाकनाशियों का उपयोग फसलों में अवांछित पौधों (खरपतवार) को समाप्त करने के लिए किया जाता है, जिससे वे मुख्य फसल के साथ पोषक तत्व, धूप और जल के लिए प्रतिस्पर्धा न कर सकें।]
Purpose of Herbicide Mixtures (शाकनाशी मिश्रण का उद्देश्य):-
i. Broad Spectrum Weed Control (विस्तृत खरपतवार नियंत्रण):- Different herbicides target different types of weeds. Some are more effective on grasses, while others target broadleaf plants. Mixing herbicides allows for control of a wider range of weed species in one application.
(विभिन्न शाकनाशियों विभिन्न प्रकार के खरपतवारों पर काम करते हैं। कुछ घास पर अधिक प्रभावी होते हैं, जबकि कुछ चौड़ी पत्तियों वाले पौधों पर। शाकनाशियों को मिलाकर एक बार के उपयोग में ही विभिन्न प्रकार के खरपतवारों को नियंत्रित किया जा सकता है।)
ii. Prevention of Herbicide Resistance (शाकनाशी प्रतिरोध को रोकना):- Continuous use of a single herbicide over time can lead to the development of resistant weed species. By using mixtures with different modes of action, farmers can reduce the chance of resistance developing.
