i. Key Diseases in Groundnut:-

Early and Late Leaf Spot:- Black or brown spots on leaves, leading to defoliation.

Rust:- Orange-brown pustules on leaves, leading to premature leaf drop.

Collar Rot (Aspergillus niger):- Rots around the base of the plant, leading to wilting.

Aflatoxin Contamination (Aspergillus flavus):- Fungal growth on pods, leading to aflatoxin accumulation.

ii. Cultural Practices (सांस्कृतिक उपाय):-

Selection of disease-resistant varieties (रोग प्रतिरोधी किस्मों का चयन):- Growing resistant varieties is a key preventive measure. Some resistant groundnut varieties include ICGV 91114, TMV 2, Girnar 3, and TAG 24.
