Introduction to mode of action of herbicides (शाकनाशियों की क्रियाविधि का परिचय):- The mode of action of herbicides refers to the specific biochemical and physiological processes through which these chemicals control or kill plants. i. Photosynthesis Inhibition (प्रकाश संश्लेषण का अवरोधन):-

Target Site (लक्ष्य स्थान):- Photosystem II (PSII) in the chloroplasts.

Mechanism (क्रियाविधि):- Herbicides like atrazine and simazine inhibit electron transport within PSII, leading to the disruption of photosynthesis. This results in the accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), causing cell damage and ultimately plant death.

[एट्राज़ीन और सिमाजिन जैसे कवकनाशी PSII के भीतर इलेक्ट्रॉन परिवहन को अवरुद्ध करते हैं, जिससे प्रकाश संश्लेषण बाधित होता है। इसके परिणामस्वरूप प्रतिक्रियाशील ऑक्सीजन प्रजातियों (ROS) का संचय होता है, जो कोशिका को नुकसान पहुँचाता है और अंततः पौधे की मृत्यु होती है।]

ii. Amino Acid Synthesis Inhibition (अमिनो अम्ल संश्लेषण का अवरोधन):-
