Methods of sowing: broadcasting, drilling, dibbling, transplanting etc. (बुवाई की विधि: प्रसारण, ड्रिलिंग, डिबलिंग, रोपाई आदि।):-
Sowing or Seeding (बुआई या बीजारोपण):- It is an art of placing seeds in the soil to have good germination in the field. A perfect seeding gives correct amount of seed per unit area, correct depth at which seed is placed in the soil and correct spacing between row-to-row and plant to plant.
(खेत में अच्छे अंकुरण के लिए बीज को मिट्टी में डालना एक कला है। एक आदर्श बुआई से प्रति इकाई क्षेत्र में बीज की सही मात्रा, मिट्टी में बीज डालने की सही गहराई और पंक्ति से पंक्ति और पौधे से पौधे के बीच सही दूरी मिलती है।)
Methods of sowing (बुआई की विधियाँ):-
1. Broadcasting (छिड़काव):- It is the process of random scattering of seed on the surface of seedbeds. It can be done manually or mechanically both. When broadcasting is done manually, uniformity of seed depends upon skill of the man. Soon after broadcasting the seeds are covered by planking or some other devices. Usually higher seed rate is obtained in this system. Mechanical broadcasters are used for large-scale work. This machine scatters the seeds on the surface of the seedbed at controlled rates.
(यह बीज क्यारियों की सतह पर बीज के रेंडम छिड़कने की प्रक्रिया है। इसे हाथ से या यांत्रिक दोनों तरह से किया जा सकता है। जब छिड़काव हाथ से किया जाता है, तो बीजों का एकसमान वितरण व्यक्ति के कौशल पर निर्भर करती है। छिड़काव के तुरंत बाद बीजों को मृदा से ढक दिया जाता है। इस प्रणाली में आमतौर पर उच्च बीज दर रखनी पड़ती है। बड़े पैमाने पर काम के लिए यांत्रिक छिड़काव यंत्रों का उपयोग किया जाता है। यह मशीन नियंत्रित दरों पर बीजों को क्यारी की सतह पर छिड़कती है।)
2. Dibbling (डिब्लिंग):- It is the process of placing seeds in holes made in seedbed and covering them. In this method, seeds are placed in holes made at definite depth at fixed spacing. The equipment used for dibbling is called dibbler. It is a conical instrument used to make proper holes in the field. Small hand dibblers are made with several conical projections made in a frame. This is very time consuming process, so it is not suitable for small seeds. Mostly vegetables are sown in this way.
(यह बीज क्यारी में बने छिद्रों में बीज रखने और उन्हें ढकने की प्रक्रिया है। इस विधि में बीजों को निश्चित दूरी पर निश्चित गहराई पर बने छिद्रों में रखा जाता है। डिबलिंग के लिए प्रयुक्त उपकरण को डिबलर कहा जाता है। यह एक शंक्वाकार यंत्र है जिसका उपयोग खेत में उचित छेद करने के लिए किया जाता है। छोटे हाथ के डिबलर एक फ्रेम में कई शंक्वाकार प्रक्षेपणों के साथ बनाए जाते हैं। यह बहुत समय लेने वाली प्रक्रिया है, इसलिए यह छोटे बीजों के लिए उपयुक्त नहीं है। अधिकतर सब्जियाँ इसी प्रकार बोई जाती हैं।)
