Nutrient absorption (पोषक तत्वों का अवशोषण):- Nutrient absorption is the process by which plants take up minerals and nutrients from the soil through their roots. This is essential for plant growth, photosynthesis, and metabolic processes. Nutrients are absorbed either in dissolved ionic form or as compounds that can pass through plant cell membranes.
(पोषक तत्व अवशोषण वह प्रक्रिया है जिसके द्वारा पौधे अपनी जड़ों के माध्यम से मिट्टी से खनिज और पोषक तत्व लेते हैं। यह पौधों की वृद्धि, प्रकाश संश्लेषण और उपापचय प्रक्रियाओं के लिए आवश्यक है। पोषक तत्व या तो विघटित आयनिक रूप में या यौगिकों के रूप में अवशोषित होते हैं जो पौधों की कोशिका झिल्ली से गुजर सकते हैं।)

Active and passive absorption of nutrients (पोषक तत्वों का सक्रिय और निष्क्रिय अवशोषण):-

1. निष्क्रिय अवशोषण (Passive Absorption):- इसमें उपापचय ऊर्जा के व्यय की आवश्यकता नहीं होती है।

(It does not require expenditure of metabolic energy.)

a. सरल विसरण (Simple Diffusion):- जब खनिज लवणों की सांद्रता मूल कोशिकाओं के कोशिका रस की तुलना में बाहरी मृदा विलयन में अधिक होती है, तो खनिज लवण विसरण की सरल प्रक्रिया द्वारा सांद्रता प्रवणता के अनुसार अवशोषित होते हैं।

(When the concentration of mineral salts is higher in the outer solution than in the cell sap of the root cells, the mineral salts are absorbed according to the concentration gradient by simple process of diffusion.)
