Distribution (वितरण):- The Jasmine Budworm is widely distributed across tropical and subtropical regions, including India. In India, it is found in states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and others where jasmine is cultivated.
(जैस्मीन बडवर्म उष्णकटिबंधीय और उप-उष्णकटिबंधीय क्षेत्रों में व्यापक रूप से पाया जाता है, जिसमें भारत भी शामिल है। भारत में, यह तमिलनाडु, कर्नाटक, आंध्र प्रदेश, महाराष्ट्र और अन्य राज्यों में पाया जाता है जहाँ जैस्मीन की खेती होती है।)

Identification (पहचान):-
Adult (वयस्क):-
- Moths are small, about 8-10 mm in length, with white or light brown wings featuring two dark brown or black wavy transverse bands.
(पतंगे छोटे होते हैं, लगभग 8-10 मिमी लंबे होते हैं, जिनके पंख सफेद या हल्के भूरे रंग के होते हैं, जिनमें दो गहरे भूरे या काले लहरदार पट्टे होते हैं।)
- The wingspan ranges from 18 to 22 mm.
(इनके पंखों का फैलाव 18 से 22 मिमी तक होता है।)
Larvae (Caterpillars) [लार्वा (कैटरपिल्लर)]:-
- Young larvae are creamy white and later turn greenish-yellow as they mature, with brownish spots on the body.
(युवा लार्वा क्रीमी सफेद होते हैं और परिपक्व होने पर हरे-पीले रंग में बदल जाते हैं, शरीर पर भूरे धब्बे होते हैं।)
- They reach about 12-15 mm in length when fully grown.
(ये पूरी तरह विकसित होने पर लगभग 12-15 मिमी लंबे होते हैं।)
