It can be found in temperate and subtropical regions and is particularly prevalent in regions where roses are cultivated. In India, it is common in rose-growing regions like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and parts of the Western Ghats and northern plains.

Adult Morphology (वयस्क रूप):- Adults are soft-bodied insects, typically 2-3 mm long, with pear-shaped bodies. They can be green, pink, or reddish. The green variant is more common, with long antennae and a pair of black cornicles (tubular structures) at the rear end.
