Distribution (वितरण):-
> Rhyzopertha dominica is found worldwide, especially in warm and tropical regions. It is widespread in India due to favorable climatic conditions for its growth and development.

Identification (पहचान):-
Adult (वयस्क):-
> Small, cylindrical beetle, around 2-3 mm in length.
(छोटे, बेलनाकार भृंग, लगभग 2-3 मिमी लंबे।)
> Dark brown to black in color.
(गहरे भूरे से काले रंग के।)
> Head is tucked under the thorax and is not visible from above.
(सिर वक्ष के नीचे छिपा होता है और ऊपर से दिखाई नहीं देता।)
> It has a roughened and pitted appearance on the wing covers (elytra).

Larva (लार्वा):-
> C-shaped, creamy white, with a brownish head.
(C-आकार, क्रीम रंग का, भूरे सिर के साथ।)
> The larva is legless and measures about 4 mm when fully grown.
(लार्वा बिना पैरों का होता है और पूरी तरह विकसित होने पर लगभग 4 मिमी लंबा होता है।)
Eggs (अंडे):- White, oval, and minute, often laid directly on or near grain kernels.
(सफेद, अंडाकार, और छोटे, अक्सर अनाज के दानों पर या उनके पास दिए जाते हैं।)
Pupa (प्यूपा):- Forms within the grain or a silken cocoon in the infested grains.
(अनाज के अंदर या संक्रमित अनाज में रेशमी खोल (कोकून) में बनता है।)
