Concept and construction of low tunnels (लो टनल की अवधारणा और निर्माण):-
Concept of Low Tunnels (लो टनल की संकल्पना):- Low tunnels are temporary, small-scale protective structures used in agriculture to extend the growing season, protect crops from adverse weather, and enhance plant growth. 
[लो टनल अस्थायी, छोटे आकार की सुरक्षात्मक संरचनाएँ हैं, जो कृषि में फसलों के बढ़ने के मौसम को बढ़ाने, प्रतिकूल मौसम से बचाने और पौधों की वृद्धि को बढ़ाने के लिए उपयोग की जाती हैं। ]
Benefits of Low Tunnels (लो टनल के लाभ):-
Season Extension (मौसम विस्तार):- Helps in early planting and late harvesting by maintaining optimal temperature.
(यह तापमान बनाए रखकर फसलों की शुरुआती बुवाई और देर से कटाई में मदद करता है।)
Frost Protection (ठंड से सुरक्षा):- Shields crops from early and late-season frosts.
(यह फसलों को शुरुआती और देर से पड़ने वाले पाले से बचाता है।)

Construction of Low Tunnels (लो टनल का निर्माण):-
Materials Required (आवश्यक सामग्री):-
Hoops/Frames (हूप्स/फ्रेम):- Made of PVC pipes, bamboo, galvanized metal, or flexible polyethylene rods.
(पीवीसी पाइप, बांस, जस्ती धातु, या लचीली पॉलीइथाइलीन छड़ें।)
Covering Material (आवरण सामग्री):- Transparent polyethylene plastic film, non-woven fabric, or insect netting.
(पारदर्शी पॉलीथीन प्लास्टिक फिल्म, गैर-बुने हुए कपड़े (नॉन-वोवन फैब्रिक) या कीट जाल।)
Step-by-Step Construction (निर्माण की चरणबद्ध प्रक्रिया):-
i. Site Selection & Preparation (स्थान का चयन और तैयारी):-
> Choose a well-drained, level field with good sunlight exposure.
(अच्छी धूप और जल निकासी वाली समतल भूमि का चयन करें।)
ii. Marking the Rows (पंक्तियों का चिह्नांकन):-
> Decide the row width, typically 1.0 to 1.5 meters wide and 30-50 cm high.
(पंक्तियों की चौड़ाई 1.0 से 1.5 मीटर और ऊँचाई 30-50 सेमी रखें।)
iii. Installing the Hoops (हूप्स लगाना):-
> Insert PVC or metal hoops into the ground at every 1–1.5 meters along the row.
(पीवीसी या धातु के हूप्स को जमीन में 1-1.5 मीटर की दूरी पर गाड़ें।)
iv. Attaching the Covering (आवरण को जोड़ना):-
> Drape polyethylene film or non-woven fabric over the hoops.
(हूप्स के ऊपर पॉलीथीन शीट या नॉन-वोवन फैब्रिक बिछाएं।)
v. Monitoring & Maintenance (निगरानी और रखरखाव):-
> Regularly check for tears or damage in the plastic.
(प्लास्टिक में किसी भी कटी-फटी जगह या क्षति की नियमित जाँच करें।)

Crops Suitable for Low Tunnels (लो टनल के लिए उपयुक्त फसलें):-
Vegetables (सब्जियाँ):- Lettuce, spinach, carrots, radishes, onions, cabbage, cauliflower, tomatoes.
(पालक, गाजर, मूली, प्याज, पत्ता गोभी, फूलगोभी, टमाटर।)
Fruits (फल):- Strawberries, melons.
(स्ट्रॉबेरी, खरबूजा।)

Limitations of Low Tunnels (लो टनल की सीमाएँ):-
> Not suitable for large-scale farming due to size constraints.
(बड़े पैमाने की खेती के लिए उपयुक्त नहीं है।)
> Requires manual monitoring for temperature and humidity control.
(तापमान और आर्द्रता के नियंत्रण के लिए नियमित निगरानी की आवश्यकता होती है।)
