Concept of risk and uncertainty occurs in agriculture production, Nature and sources of risks and its management strategies (कृषि उत्पादन में जोखिम और अनिश्चितता की अवधारणा, जोखिमों की प्रकृति और स्रोत तथा इसके प्रबंधन की रणनीतियाँ):-
Concept of Risk and Uncertainty in Agricultural Production (कृषि उत्पादन में जोखिम और अनिश्चितता की अवधारणा):- Agricultural production is inherently risky due to its dependence on natural, biological, market, and institutional factors. 
(प्राकृतिक, जैविक, बाज़ार और संस्थागत कारकों पर निर्भरता के कारण कृषि उत्पादन स्वाभाविक रूप से जोखिम भरा है।)
Risk vs. Uncertainty (जोखिम बनाम अनिश्चितता):-
Risk (जोखिम):- Situations where probabilities of outcomes are known or can be estimated (e.g., chance of rainfall).
[ऐसी परिस्थितियाँ जहाँ परिणामों की संभावनाएँ ज्ञात होती हैं या उनका अनुमान लगाया जा सकता है (जैसे, वर्षा की संभावना)।]
Uncertainty (अनिश्चितता):- Situations where outcomes are unknown and probabilities cannot be assigned (e.g., sudden government policy change).
[ऐसी परिस्थितियाँ जहाँ परिणाम अज्ञात होते हैं और संभावनाएँ निर्धारित नहीं की जा सकतीं (जैसे, अचानक सरकारी नीति में बदलाव)।]

Risk Management Strategies in Agriculture (कृषि में जोखिम प्रबंधन रणनीतियाँ):-
i. Diversification (विविधीकरण):- Cultivating different crops or integrating livestock to spread risk.
(जोखिम को कम करने के लिए अलग-अलग फसलें उगाना या पशुधन को एकीकृत करना।)
Example (उदाहरण):- Growing cereals + pulses + vegetables.
(अनाज + दालें + सब्जियाँ उगाना।)
ii. Insurance (बीमा):-
Crop Insurance (फसल बीमा):- (e.g., PMFBY in India) protects against weather and yield losses.
[(जैसे, भारत में PMFBY) मौसम और उपज के नुकसान से बचाता है।]
> Livestock and health insurance for farm assets and labor.
(कृषि परिसंपत्तियों और श्रम के लिए पशुधन और स्वास्थ्य बीमा।)
