PAPER:- PRINCIPLES OF SOCIOLOGY

(समाजशास्त्र के सिद्धांत)

Duration: 3 hrs. 

Max Marks: 120

Unit I:-
> Meaning, nature and scope of Sociology, the Sociological perspective. 
(समाजशास्त्र का अर्थ, प्रकृति और दायरा, समाजशास्त्रीय परिप्रेक्ष्य।)
> Sociology and other Social Sciences, the scientific and humanistic orientations to Sociological study.
(समाजशास्त्र और अन्य सामाजिक विज्ञान, समाजशास्त्रीय अध्ययन के लिए वैज्ञानिक और मानवतावादी अभिविन्यास।)
Unit II:-
> Basic concepts: Society, Community, Institution, Association, Group, Social Structure, Culture, Status and Role.
(मूल अवधारणाएँ: समाज, समुदाय, संस्था, संघ, समूह, सामाजिक संरचना, संस्कृति, स्थिति और भूमिका।)
Unit III:-
> The Individual and Society, Society and Socialization - meaning, stages, agencies and theories, relation between Individual and Society. 
( व्यक्ति और समाज, समाज और समाजीकरण - अर्थ, चरण, एजेंसियाँ और सिद्धांत, व्यक्ति और समाज के बीच संबंध।)
> Social Control: Norms, Values and Sanctions. 
(सामाजिक नियंत्रण: मानदंड, मूल्य और प्रतिबंध।)
> Social Stratification and Mobility - meaning, forms and theories.
(सामाजिक स्तरीकरण और गतिशीलता - अर्थ, रूप और सिद्धांत।)
Unit IV:-
> Social Change - Meaning and type, Evolution and Revolution, Progress and development, factors of Social Change.
(सामाजिक परिवर्तन - अर्थ और प्रकार, विकास और क्रांति, प्रगति और विकास, सामाजिक परिवर्तन के कारक।)
> Theories of Ogburn, Sorokin, and Karl Marx.
(ओगबर्न, सोरोकिन और कार्ल मार्क्स के सिद्धांत।)
Unit V:-
> The uses of Sociology: Introduction to Applied Sociology, Sociology and Social Problems, Sociology and Social Change, Sociology and Social Policy and Action.
(समाजशास्त्र के उपयोग: अनुप्रयुक्त समाजशास्त्र का परिचय, समाजशास्त्र और सामाजिक समस्याएं, समाजशास्त्र और सामाजिक परिवर्तन, समाजशास्त्र और सामाजिक नीति और कार्रवाई।)
