Peach: Leaf curl (आड़ू: पत्ती कुंचन रोग):-
Causal organism (रोगकारक):- Taphrina deformans (टैफ्राइना डीफोर्मेंस)
Symptoms (लक्षण):-
> Young leaves become thickened, curled, puckered, and distorted.
(नई पत्तियाँ मोटी, मुड़ी हुई, सिकुड़ी एवं विकृत हो जाती हैं।)
> Leaves develop reddish, pink, or purplish patches, which later turn yellow or brown.
(पत्तियों पर लाल, गुलाबी या बैंगनी धब्बे बनते हैं, जो बाद में पीले या भूरे हो जाते हैं।)
> A whitish powdery coating (fungal spores) may appear on the leaf surface.
[पत्तियों की सतह पर सफेद चूर्ण जैसा आवरण (कवकीय बीजाणु) दिखाई दे सकता है।]
> Infected leaves dry up and fall prematurely.
(संक्रमित पत्तियाँ समय से पहले सूखकर गिर जाती हैं।)
> Young shoots become swollen and distorted, and fruits may be malformed.
(कोमल टहनियाँ मोटी एवं विकृत हो जाती हैं तथा फल भी विकृत हो सकते हैं।)
Favorable conditions (अनुकूल परिस्थितियाँ):-
> Temperature (तापमान): 10–20°C
> Cool, wet weather during bud break and early spring
(कलियाँ फूटने के समय ठंडा एवं नम मौसम)
> Frequent rainfall and prolonged leaf wetness
(लगातार वर्षा एवं लंबे समय तक पत्तियों पर नमी)
Disease cycle (रोग चक्र):-
> The fungus survives on the bark and bud scales.
(कवक छाल एवं कलियों की बाहरी परतों पर जीवित रहता है।)
> During spring, spores infect young leaves as buds open under cool and moist conditions.
(वसंत ऋतु में कलियाँ फूटने पर ठंडी एवं नम परिस्थितियों में नई पत्तियों को संक्रमित करता है।)
Management (प्रबंधन):-
> Prune and destroy infected shoots and fallen leaves.
(संक्रमित टहनियों एवं गिरी हुई पत्तियों को नष्ट करें।)
> Plant resistant or tolerant cultivars where available.
(जहाँ उपलब्ध हों, प्रतिरोधी / सहनशील किस्मों का उपयोग करें।)
> Improve air circulation through proper pruning.
(उचित छँटाई द्वारा वायु संचार बढ़ाएँ।)
> Spray Copper oxychloride 0.3% (3 g/L) or Bordeaux mixture (1%) during the dormant season before bud burst.
[कलियाँ फूटने से पहले सुप्तावस्था में कॉपर ऑक्सीक्लोराइड 0.3% (3 ग्राम/लीटर) या बोर्डो मिश्रण 1% का छिड़काव करें।]
> If needed, apply Chlorothalonil 0.2% (2 g/L) before bud break.
[आवश्यकता होने पर कलियाँ फूटने से पहले क्लोरोथालोनिल 0.2% (2 ग्राम/लीटर) का छिड़काव करें।]
