Strawberry: leaf spot (स्ट्रॉबेरी: पत्ती धब्बा रोग):-
Causal organism (रोगकारक):- Mycosphaerella fragariae (anamorph: Ramularia tulasnei)
[माइकोस्फीरेला फ्रैगेरिया (एनामॉर्फ: रामुलेरिया तुलस्नेई)]
Symptoms (लक्षण):-
> Small, circular purple to reddish-purple spots appear on young leaves.
(नई पत्तियों पर छोटे, गोल बैंगनी से लाल-भूरे धब्बे बनते हैं।)
> The center of the spots gradually turns white to light gray, while the margins remain dark purple.
(धब्बों का मध्य भाग सफेद या हल्का धूसर हो जाता है, जबकि किनारे गहरे बैंगनी बने रहते हैं।)
> Numerous spots may merge, causing leaf blight and premature leaf fall.
(अधिक धब्बे आपस में मिलकर पत्तियों को झुलसा देते हैं तथा पत्तियाँ समय से पहले गिर जाती हैं।)
> Petioles, runners, and fruit stalks may also develop elongated lesions.
(पर्णवृन्त, रनर तथा फल डंठलों पर भी लम्बे धब्बे बन सकते हैं।)
> Severe infection weakens plants and reduces fruit yield and quality.
(अधिक संक्रमण से पौधे कमजोर हो जाते हैं तथा फल की उपज एवं गुणवत्ता घट जाती है।)
Favorable conditions (अनुकूल परिस्थितियाँ):-
> Temperature (तापमान): 15–25°C
> High humidity and prolonged leaf wetness
(अधिक आर्द्रता एवं लंबे समय तक पत्तियों पर नमी)
> Frequent rainfall, overhead irrigation, and dense planting
(लगातार वर्षा, ऊपर से सिंचाई तथा घनी बुवाई)
Disease cycle (रोग चक्र):-
> The fungus survives on infected leaves and crop debris.
(कवक संक्रमित पत्तियों एवं फसल अवशेषों में जीवित रहता है।)
> Spores spread through rain splash, irrigation water, and wind to infect new leaves.
(बीजाणु वर्षा की छींटों, सिंचाई के पानी एवं हवा द्वारा फैलकर नई पत्तियों को संक्रमित करते हैं।)
Management (प्रबंधन):-
> Use disease-free planting material.
(रोगमुक्त पौध सामग्री का उपयोग करें।)
> Remove and destroy infected leaves and crop debris.
(संक्रमित पत्तियों एवं फसल अवशेषों को नष्ट करें।)
> Maintain proper spacing and avoid overhead irrigation.
(उचित दूरी रखें तथा ऊपर से सिंचाई करने से बचें।)
> Improve air circulation by removing excess foliage.
(अतिरिक्त पत्तियाँ हटाकर वायु संचार बढ़ाएँ।)
> Spray Mancozeb 0.25% (2.5 g/L) or Copper oxychloride 0.3% (3 g/L) at the first appearance of symptoms. Repeat every 10–14 days if necessary.
